MoreWith many classes to juggle and manage, it can be hard to keep up with the piles of work being dumped on your head, but if you have the opportunity, one of the best things you can do to ace your classes is to stay a class ahead.
Currently, I am working on making sure I am a class ahead by finding a bit of time each evening or weekend to read ahead. I don’t mean you need to be a class ahead in home work, assignments and whatnot, but just in the potential readings.
Look over your text book, any slides or material that the teachers put out and any other information you can get your hands on. That way, when the class comes up, the presentation from your professor is review, and also allows you to be informed so that you can both ask and answer questions.
The hardest part is to keep up the dedication of staying ahead. It can be very easy to give yourself a break from the process, but in doing so, you’ll create a situation where you can’t get ahead again and it can throw off the workflow you have created.
Making the lectures become your first review, rather than the first time you come in contact with a concept can mean a higher level of retention, and give you a better grasp of new concepts as the teacher can then refine what you need to remember for tests.
