Animal Care Managers are responsible for the care and oversight of animals. In your job, you will be responsible for: feeding, watering, bathing, grooming, training, and medicating the animals in your care. There are many roles an Animal Care Manager can take on, so it is best if you pursue at least a two year degree and general knowledge of caring for all types of animals.
The outlook for employment in this field is excellent. Since there is a high rate of overturn in this profession, finding employment in this field is easy. Expect to earn around $9 an hour to start. However, those working at zoos can earn a salary up to $17.00 per hour.
