Arborist
Arborists take care of trees. They are employed by businesses, residents, utility companies, and major industry to care for and maintain the trees and/or forestry on the grounds.
Arborists typically prune, plant, fertilize, inspect, rescue, and remove trees for public and private entities. They are especially crucial to cities and utility companies in the removal of trees and branches, to clear the infrastructure of clutter.
To gain employment as an arborist, one must first obtain a degree in forestry or horticulture. Once a degree is obtained, certification from an organization such as The International Society of Arboriculture will need to be pursued before getting a job.
As the country and world turn their focus on protecting and preserving the planet, arborist careers are expected to rise. Going green will require the services of qualified individuals to help oversee and institute the planning and planting of forestry.
Applicants entering into this field can expect to earn around $44,000 as a salary.
