A commercial landscape designer can expect a salary starting from $34,113 to $60,119 depending on his or her experience. They are required where one wants to beautify the outdoor space and make it nice by designing it in such a way that it looks friendly to the eye. The commercial landscape designer, apart from designing the outdoor space also ensures that the same remains functional and gels with the natural environment. They are required to plan, analyze and design both the built and natural environment and making it beautiful by combining science and art.

The commercial landscape designer (also known as landscape architects) design and plan traditional places like residential developments, campuses, cemeteries, parks, resorts, gardens, corporate and commercial centers etc. They can fix the problems caused in natural places by humans by restoring them after proper planning. These places are like wetlands, stream corridors, mined areas and forested land. These designers report to their superiors or their clients and discuss with them how fix out the problems.

The minimum educational requirement for people seeking such jobs is BSLA (bachelor of science in landscape architecture). This degree requires 4 to 5 years of studies in design, art, construction techniques, history, and social & natural sciences. If required they can also pursue the master’s degree in landscape architecture. Laws of most state require these landscape designers to be registered or licensed. There is ample employment scope for commercial landscape designers. This work also requires frequent traveling from place to place during the course of work.
