The job of a fashion designer consists of creating and conceptualizing new accessory and clothing designs. They are supposed to keep in touch with the latest fashion trends and work in collaboration with sales, marketing and production departments in order to design, then produce and finally promote finished ready to wear garments for specialty stores, retail stores, and apparel manufacturers.
At times they might have to interact with individual clients too. Those looking for a career in fashion designing should obtain a two years or a 4 years college degree in fashion merchandising or fashion designing, though this is not absolutely necessary.
