An interior designer is the person given the responsibility of making plans, designing, and giving makeovers to interiors of houses, offices, hotels, etc. Interior designers may run their own design firms, work for architectural firms, or work in furnishing companies. An interior designer often comes up with a blueprint then proceeds to creating floor plans, as well as shopping for furniture and other accessories that may suit the design he or she feels is right for a specific client.

Interior Designer Qualifications
A degree in Interior Design is required of interior designer applicants. Those who may want to pursue higher positions in the field may be required to take a master’s degree in Interior Design. Most countries in the world even require Interior Design graduates to pass a licenser exam. Eligibility in taking the licenser exam requires several years of education and experience in the field of Interior Design.
