Compliance Analyst

The main task of a Compliance Analyst is to ensure that the company’s actions meet the standards of the state and federal laws and regulations.

Compliance analysts are responsible in making the company compliant not only with local, federal and state laws, but also with company policies and procedures. They examine and review relevant laws and procedures and may help in training compliance analysts in the junior level. They can also train staff in understanding issues regarding compliance. It is also their job to approve ad materials, maintain company databases and document all procedures associated with compliance.

They usually work with operations managers, legal staff, sales and marketing for ensuring compliance of advertisement and communication material, which includes specifications of products and legal requirements.

Required Education

The educational requirements for a compliance analyst include a bachelor’s degree relevant to the field of the industry they’ll be working at. A master’s degree is also required by some companies. It is also a plus if you have relevant work experience prior to application. Licenses or certifications are also being required by some positions.
