Their job varies and depends on the people they deal with, either in school, work, families, and many more. A behavioral counselor should work out an accurate profile of the patients behavior and everything that involves the life of the client. A good counselor must be able to understand a variety of different life and emotional issues, be flexible, have a positive attitude, and be respectful of privacy and emotional responses.

Behavioral counselors in general, should completed sixty units in subjects of psychology, sociology, counseling, and other related fields. He or she will have earned a bachelor’s degree in Social or Behavioral Sciences or a related field. As of this year, the average salary of a behavioral counselor is around $40,000 (USD).
