Clubs and Associations
Early in the school year, there will most likely be booths set up to try to convince you to join a club, association or fraternity and if you can find one that you’ll enjoy and doesn’t conflict with your schooling, I’d highly recommend it as many of the people I still talk to today, I met in the clubs that I participated in.
Many schools have clubs for all interests from paintball to chess, from computers to skydiving and so in my experience, it is rare to not be able to find a club that fits at least one of your interests.
The biggest issue with joining clubs can be the fees and equipment requirements, and so it would be wise to understand all of the requirements before committing yourself, but joining a club can be one of the best ways to unwind after a hard days run of lectures and labs.
