Math
While some might disagree, I find that e-commerce and commerce are not all that different. Both degrees require an in depth understanding of how money works and the basis of monetary transactions is math.
The deeper your understanding of math, the easier your time will be when dealing with the advanced formulas used today in e-commerce with paying not only taxes, but affiliates, server expenses, and advertising deals.
Accounting
Debits and credits should be part of your daily vocabulary when working in any form of commerce, electronic or not. A general level of understanding in accounting is key.
Computers
Understanding technology is important for nearly any career in the modern world, but e-commerce specifically requires an in depth understanding of technology and how it relates to business.
English
A strong understanding of the English language is important as it gives off a strong sense of professionalism when working on the web, or writing reports for businesses that you are consulting with.
