High School Course Suggestions
Science
I would hate to run into a medical doctor that didn’t have advanced skills in higher level sciences. Biology and Chemistry being two of the more important classes to consider when deciding to focus on health and medical post secondary education.
With biology, you will learn the basic building blocks of life, and understanding how the body functions.
In chemistry, you will gain experience in how medication effects the body, and how chemicals can mix together.
Math
If you need to give one hundred CC’s of medicine every hour for three days, how many CC’s of medicine does the doctor need to prescribe?
Math is the basis of a fair number of health related daily events and so an advanced comprehension of it is key.
English
While doctors and other medical practitioners are known for their messy handwriting, doing research papers, memo’s, and written assignments require higher level skills in the English language.
