Each school has a different way of operating, and especially during the first few weeks, people will crowd together in the easy areas to wait for food, books, supplies, and whatnot. If you want to do things faster and cheaper, you will explore your campus.

Currently, at the school I am attending, there is a restaurant upstairs and the same restaurant downstairs in the same building. Everyone waits ten or twenty minutes to use the upstairs one, as they haven’t explored the building and found the other location yet, making it easy for me to get the food that I want in less than half the time as the people that take the easy route.

Looking for a drink, I could have bought one from the vending machines, but decided to look around, and found two campus convenience stores that sell the same drinks at a much cheaper price.

It is amazing what you can find if you look around, and explore the campus, especially during the first few days as later on, I am sure others will realize that there are two restaurants, and cheaper places to get drinks, and things will all even out.
