MoreAs a person who really enjoys linguistics I’ve pondered a return to College to major in linguistics, or atleast reach a few goals including getting a certificate to teach ESL. However in the meantime I want to keep learning, and stay on top of my language skills without actually taking coursework.
There are a few tools that I use to expand my reach, and keep fresh on languages that I have been learning. Social learning tools online continue to be the route I take. Here are a few tools to help you learn a new language, or get a better mastery of one you already are familiar with.
1 Live Mocha
Live Mocha is a social platform for learning languages and helping teach others. Not only does it help me with my spanish, and latin skills but it also allows me to help others learn and master english as well.
2 Mango Languages
Mango Languages is more geared towards schools, and libraries, but nonetheless it does have personal licensing. I took a free trial of this program a few months ago and have found that its a great program for learning, and it’s very thorough and intense.
3 Parlo
Parlo is an interactive learning system that is pretty groovy, again its more of an online course system than anything, they too offer a free course to get your feet wet.

Can I add some to the list? http://www.babbel.com, http://www.spanishpod.com (or the other 4 languages they have), even bbc.co.uk…teachertube has some good videos, too, but you have to go through a lot of crap..Hope that may be useful
