Arkansas Baptist College

Arkansas Baptist College (ABC) is a private, not-for-profit, historically black, four-year Liberal Arts College affiliated Consolidated Missionary Baptist Convention of Arkansas. It is located in Little Rock, Arkansas and is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission of the North Central Association of Colleges and Schools.

ABC is a small college with about 600 students and a student to faculty ratio of 15 to 1. A huge number of students are male with only about 1/3 of the student population being female.

Arkansas Baptist College offers Bachelor of Arts and Associate of Arts degree programs under three schools: Business & Applied Science Technology; Liberal Arts & General Studies and School of Social Science, Religion & Christian Leadership. Available Associate of Arts degree programs include Business Administration, Public Administration, and Theology. Available Bachelor of Arts degree programs include the same three programs plus Criminal Justice and Human Services. The most popular majors taken by students are in the field of Business Administration. The college offers courses through their distance learning programs (not an online program) and is “working adult-friendly” since weekend and evening classes are also available.

Arkansas Baptist College has an open admissions policy and admits all eligible students with a high school diploma or GED equivalent.

Arkansas Baptist College is known for being the only college in the state of Arkansas that offers a two-year football program. This year though reviews hasn’t been good for its football team at the Southwest Junior College Conference Football Conference.
