Hendrix College

Hendrix College is a private, liberal arts co-educational college located in a suburban area in Conway, Arkansas. Founded in 1876, the college is affiliated with the United Methodist Church although its curriculum is nonsectarian and it accepts students from varied religious backgrounds.

As a liberal arts college, Hendrix offers a core curriculum of general arts and science subjects that pave the way for a better appreciation by the students of their chosen field of study. There are over 31 undergraduate majors and 33 minors available for the students to choose from. Although primarily an undergraduate college, Hendrix also maintains a graduate degree program for students who want to pursue higher education like its Master of Arts in Accounting.

There are approximately 1,463 students enrolled at Hendrix College coming from 42 U.S. states and 13 foreign countries. To guide these students in their quest for higher education, the college has in its employ 102 full-time faculty members, 95% of whom hold a doctorate in their chosen field of study. With a student to faculty ratio of 13 to 1 and the average class size no more than 19, students are guaranteed that their professors are focused on providing them the quality education they expect.

Cost of attendance at Hendrix College for academic year 2009-2010 is US$38,934. This is a comprehensive fee that includes full-year tuition, required fees, and room and board. Financial Aid is extended to qualified students in the form of loans, grants, scholarships and student employment to help them pay for their cost of tuition and attendance.
