Bethany College, California
Bethany College was originally a training school for Glad Tidings Temple, an urban church located at San Francisco, California. It was founded and pastored by Robert and Mary Craig since 1919. The three decades that followed its establishment saw the institute as the center of Pentecostal activity in the West Coast. This church cum school became a primary source of ministers and missionaries as well as trained Christian workers. It was internationally known then as the Glad Tidings Bible Institute.
The Institute moved to its present site at the Santa Cruz Mountains, Scotts Valley in 1950 and adapted the name Bethany Bible College. It operated as a four-year degree granting college.
