California Baptist University

Founded in 1950 by the California Southern Baptist Convention , the 105-acre main campus of California Baptist University (CBU) is located 60 miles east of Los Angeles in the city of Riverside, situated halfway between the Southern California coastline and Palm Springs. Riverside has a rich historical background and is close to a remarkable variety of cultural and recreational opportunities including Pacific Ocean beaches, amusement parks such as Disneyland and mountain resorts.

The main campus is comprised of more than 30 buildings featuring the 94,800 sq. ft. Eugene and Billie Yeager Center, the 270-seat Wallace Theater, and the new JoAnn Hawkins Music building, one of the nation’s most advanced music production and recording facilities.

CBU offers around 90 undergraduate majors and concentrations as well as 22 graduate degree and credential programs to more than 4,000 students. The
student-to-faculty ratio is 16-to-1.

CBU employs 100% Christian faculty and staff with more than 340 faculty members, 65 percent of whom hold terminal degrees in their major area of study. The US News & World Report recently recognized CBU as one of the best Masters College in its region.

Tuition fee for a full time (12 units) student is estimated at $5715 per semester. For a part time (6 units) student, the tuition fee is estimated at $2985.

CBU provides separate housing for men and women ranging from apartments, dorms to suites – all within a short walk or ride to campus. Each living quarter offers basic furnishing, kitchen and laundry facilities, cable television and Internet access, and 24-hour security.

California Baptist University is accredited with the Association of Collegiate Business Schools and Programs, California Commission on Teacher Credentialing, National Association of Schools of Music, State of California Board of Registered Nursing and the Western Association of Schools and Colleges.
