California State University
California State University, known as “Cal State” is located in Long Beach and features two dozen campuses throughout the state, enrolling over 400,000 students. Founded in 1856 as a Public University, CSU focuses upon its Colleges of Education, which provide a majority of certified teachers within California, as well as its well regarded programs in Engineering, Business Administration, Agricultural Science as well as Health Sciences.
Offering degrees in over 200 areas ranging from associates to doctoral degrees, Cal State has over 2 million active alumni in its network.
