Dominican University of California

The Dominican University of California is an independent Catholic university located in Marin County, California. Established in 1890 by the Dominican Sisters of San Rafael, the university has long been recognized as a school with excellent reputation in academics, research and community service.

The Dominican University offers over 60 academic programs for undergraduate, graduate and extended education. The wide variety of majors clearly indicates the diverse strength of the school’s faculty members and students. By focusing on interdisciplinary studies, students are able to look beyond their particular pursuits to explore new avenues of personal development. The small number of students per class, on the other hand, allow for a more focused support by faculty members for the students’ ongoing area of specialization.

The Dominican University has over 2,100 enrolled students and 193 faculty members. The student to faculty ratio is 11 to 1.
