Humphreys College
Humphreys College is a private liberal arts institution of higher education located in two separate campuses in California – Modesto and Stockton. The first institution of higher education to be established in central San Joaquin Valley, Humphreys College has been providing education in this area since 1896.
The college awards students with an associate of arts and science, bachelor of arts and science, master of arts and science and juris doctor degrees in various majors within four broad academic areas of law, business, human services and liberal arts.
In existence for over a hundred years now, the college proffers a variety of reasons why it is advantageous for students to study at Humphreys. For one, the size of its classes are small thereby giving professors more time and opportunity to work directly with their students. Secondly, the courses offered are career-oriented and help students to deal with the demands of the 21st century workplace.
One distinct feature of education offered at Humphreys College is the stair-step approach it accords students in the pursuit of their educational goals which allows them to move up from a two-year certificate degree to a four-year certificate degree and onwards to a master’s degree without hindrance.
Cost of attendance at Humphreys College for undergraduate students taking 17 units and over is US$3,484 per quarter plus a non-refundable fee of US$35. For graduate students taking up Law or pursuing a Master’s degree, tuition cost is US$365 per quarter unit. A total of 44 units for a Master’s degree and 114 units for a Law degree is required for students to graduate.
Although limited, on-campus housing is available to students of Humphrey’s College.
