Iliff School of Theology
The Iliff School of Theology is a graduate theological school affiliated with the United Methodist Church. It was founded in 1892 and occupies an 8-acre campus located at 2201 South University Boulevard, Denver, Colorado. Its location is a place that enjoys proximity to various cultural, educational, recreational and sports facilities. Its specific location in the University Park neighborhood is just adjacent to the University of Denver.
Programs in Graduate Studies include Vocational Preparation; Master of Divinity; Master of Arts in Specialized Ministry; Personal and Professional Formation; Denominational Connections; Vocation and Ministerial Authorization; Preparation for Ministry in the United Methodist Church and other denominations including the Episcopal Church, the Evangelical Lutheran, Church in America, ELCA, the United Church of Christ, the Unitarian Universalist Association and Ordination in other denominations. Also offered are the Master of Arts in Pastoral and Spiritual Care for Military Chaplains, the Master of Arts in Specialized Ministry and the Master of Theological Studies. Other programs include the Joint Doctoral Programs, Graduate Certificates and Special Programs.
The Iliff faculty is comprised of members who represent various denominations and faiths. At least one third of the faculty is made up of people of color. Programs are offered through traditional classroom and online courses. Online learning however, requires computer literacy. Academic advisors are in the best position to help students make informed choices as guided by the online catalog and course schedules provided.
The full-time master’s tuition costs $ 15,240 per year. Tuition for 8-14 credits is $ 5,080.00 per quarter while part-time enrollment for 1-7 credits or credits beyond 14 per quarter are charged $ 635.00 per credit. Other expenses include $ 225.00 for fees, $ 13,125.00 for estimated living expenses, $ 1,800 for books and supplies and $ 2,220.00 for health insurance.
