Central Connecticut State University
Founded in 1849 as the New Britain Normal School, Central Connecticut State University (CCSU) is Connecticut’s oldest public university dedicated to providing a liberal arts and sciences education to tits constituents.
Located in a neighborhood on the northern edge of New Britain, a few minutes ride from the state capital of Hartford, Connecticut, CCSU’s 165-acre campus contain building facilities featuring classrooms with state-of-the-art computers, wireless access, data and video projectors, cameras, digital players including satellite teleconferencing facilities. Of its forty buildings, nine are residence halls housing some twenty percent of the student population.
CCSU’s offers one hundred majors in more than eighty areas of study in its undergraduate program through its School of Arts & Sciences, School of Business, School of Education & Professional Studies, School of Engineering & Technology, and School of Graduate Studies.
CCSU’s School of Graduate Studies offers a Master of Arts, Master of Science, Master of Arts in Teaching, or an Educational Doctorate in Educational Leadership degree in more than forty academic fields as well as certificate in non-degree programs of study.
The University recently expanded its global reach by establishing innovative learning programs with seventy universities in nearly forty countries.
The University has a full-time faculty of 400 members, more than three-fourths of whom possess a Ph.D or terminal degree. It employs another 400 part-time instructors.
Total enrollment headcount is around 11,700 of which 66% or 7,700 students are full-time.

For out-of-state full-time undergraduate students, the annual cost of attendance: tuition & required fees – $16,179; room – $5,020; board – $3,598.
Princeton Review ranked CCSU as one of “America’s Best Value Colleges” while the college guide book, Great Colleges for the Real World, selected CCSU as one of the best colleges in the nation.
