Art Institute of Washington
The Art Institutes is a For-Profit system with more than 40 educational institutions scattered all over North America. Some of the program offerings and majors offered in Arts Institute Schools include Advertising, Animation and Special Effects, Culinary Arts, Fashion Design, Fashion Management, Game Design and Programming, and Graphic Design.
The Art Institute of Atlanta is part of the Arts Institute system. The Art Institute of Atlanta has 5 campuses: the main campus located in Atlanta Georgia, its satellite campus located in Decatur, and its three branch campuses located in Charleston, South Carolina, Nashville, Tenessee, and Washington, Virginia.
The Art Institute of Washington is a branch of The Art Institute of Atlanta founded in July 2000 and located in the Rosslyn section of Arlington, Virginia. It has more than 1700 and has a student to faculty ratio of 20:1.
The Art Institute of Washington offers degree programs, diploma, and certificate programs in the fields of design, fashion, media arts, and culinary arts. A good number of students have majors in the field of animation and interactive technology. There are currently no online programs nor online classes available at the college.
Admissions at the Art Institute of Washington is selective. Admission requirements is as follows:

- Official report of COMPASS, SAT, ACT or ASSET test scores
- Non-refundable application fee – $50
- Non-refundable tuition deposit – $100
Average tuition at the Art Institute of Washington is $472 per credit hour. School-sponsored housing is available although room and board expenses are separate since there are no meal plans. Housing expenses for 2009-2010 are not listed.
