Institute of World Politics
Current and future professionals in the field of statecraft and national security affairs will find a suitable graduate school in the Institute of World Politics (IWP). It is an independent, nonprofit institution of higher learning that is dedicated to training and developing leaders to effectively use the various instruments of power to serve national interests and purposes. Its curriculum was designed based on three purposes: the cultivation of realism about the nature of world politics and human nature, the cultivation of civic virtue and the cultivation of the spirit of idealism and public service.
The Institute is located at 1521 16th Street, NW Washington, District of Columbia, just blocks away from the White House. Its location has also made it possible to have as guest lecturers numerous current and former senior officials in practically all branches of government, being mere minutes away from the Pentagon, the State Department as well as other related agencies. IWP’s programs are based on the principles of the American political economy and the moral tradition of the West.
The programs of Institute of World Politics are all offered with the professional curriculum which covers the various statecraft elements. IWP is specifically unique in the ranks of graduate schools since it is able to answer several educational needs not available anywhere else in the US. Programs include offerings for master’s degree, certificate continuing education and academic programs for Defense and Intelligence Leadership.
The Institute of World Politics was founded in 1990 and was affiliated with Boston University from 1991 until 2005 when it finally became an independent institution. The student body includes recent graduates and professionals in search of career-enhancing opportunities. The faculty is comprised of senior intelligence officials, presidential advisers, ambassadors, military officers and senior congressional staff members. The tuition rate is $ 1,000.00 per credit hour.
