Florida College

Founded in 1946, Florida College is a private, nondenominational Christian institution located in Temple Terrace, Florida, near Tampa. It offers degrees at the undergraduate level. Its 20-acre campus is where the majority of its 520 students reside, and the institution employs a faculty of forty-five members.

Undergraduate degrees offered at Florida College include associate’s degrees and bachelor’s degrees. A single Associate of Arts degree encompasses a broad spectrum of topics within the liberal arts. Several bachelor’s degrees are available as well – they can be obtained in biblical studies, business administration, elementary education, liberal studies and music. These degree programs contain courses based in twenty different disciplines. Some examples of these would be art, behavioral studies, biology, chemistry, communication, computer information technology, mathematics, philosophy, physics and the social sciences, among others.

Florida College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), a regional accreditation agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. SACS provides accreditation to institutions within an eleven-state area, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
