Nova Southeastern University
Nova Southeastern University, also known as Nova or NSU, has been listed as one of the top universities in the US for minorities, and named by the US Department of Education as the top university in the nation for diversity.
NSU was founded in 1964, and is set in 300 acres of land in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Currently, it is the sixth largest independent university in the US, with three commonwealth universities all located in Southern Florida and education centers located in the Dade and Palm Beach counties, in Jamaica and the Bahamas (International Business courses).
Nova offers Bachelor’s, Master’s and Doctorate degrees spanning different fields. Bachelor’s degrees are hosted within 5 colleges: College of Arts and Sciences, College of Education, College of Allied Health and Nursing, College of Business, and College of Liberal Arts. Graduate fields include Computer Science, Humanities and Social Science, Business and Law. Considered the strongest and most extensive among Nova’s graduate programs is the Health Professions Division, which comprises the College of Dental Medicine, College of Optometry and College of Osteopathic Medicine, among others.
A number of the undergraduate and graduate courses offered on-campus may be taken online instead, via Nova’s web-based instructional platform. It boasts of real-time electronic classrooms, centralized location for educational materials and course content, and a high frequency of student-teacher and student-student interaction.
Nova’s distance education program has been listed as among the best in the US by the Princeton Review. Through the distance education program, students may opt to receive their schooling from student education centers located nearest them. These centers are located in Miami, Tampa, Orlando, West Palm Beach, the Bahamas and Jamaica. The program employs the traditional classroom setting, or makes use of telecom technologies such as videoconferencing. Evening and weekend classes are offered to accommodate the working student.
Yearly tuition for full-time students at Nova Southeastern University is at $19,800 for the undergraduate, plus $5,256 for room and $2,400 for meal plans. Tuition for the evening programs for working adults and the online learning set-up is at $520 per credit hour, while off-campus tuition is at $390.

Northeastern University is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools, and has specialized accreditations for its colleges and programs.
