Rollins College

Rollins College is a private liberal arts institution located in Winter Park, Florida. It was founded in 1885 by a group of New England Congregationalists who hoped to spread their faith to the growing community in Florida. The college sits on a seventy-acre campus that is currently home to 1,700 undergraduate students. The student to faculty ratio is a surprisingly low 10:1.

Academic programs at Rollins College are primarily undergraduate in nature, with bachelor’s degrees provided by two separate schools: The School of Arts and Sciences and the Hamilton Holt School. Thirty-eight majors in total are offered between the two, with the former providing instruction in areas such as anthropology, biology, economics, history, mathematics, and philosophy, while the latter allows students to major in subjects like computer sciences, the humanities, international affairs and organizational communication. There are a few graduate programs offered to students of Rollins College, providing master’s degrees in the following areas of study: business administration, counseling, education, human resources and the liberal arts.

Rollins College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), a regional accreditation agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. SACS provides accreditation to institutions within an eleven-state area, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
