Webber International University
Webber International University is a private institution located in Babson Park, Florida. It was initially founded in 1927 as a women’s college centered on business education, later moving to its current location and becoming coeducational in 1971. Today, the institution sits on 100 acres of land where, as of 2007, around 600 students were pursuing degrees at a student to faculty ratio of 18:1.
Academic programs at Webber International are by nature centered on the realm of business. Associate of science and bachelor of science degrees are both provided to undergraduate students, with the following possible majors available: accounting, computer information systems management, corporate communications, finance, hospitality & tourism management, management, marketing, pre-law, security management, sport management and general business studies. Graduate students at Webber can pursue a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree with four possible concentrations: accounting, management, security management and sport management.
Webber International University is accredited by the Commission on Colleges Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), a regional accreditation agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. SACS provides accreditation to institutions within an eleven-state area, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
