Atlanta Christian College
Atlanta Christian College is a private religious institution that was originally founded in 1937 in East Point, Georgia. It is affiliated with the Christian Churches and Churches of Christ. Originally located on farmland, it now sits on a 50-acre campus where some 643 undergraduate students are instructed at a low student to faculty ratio of 15:1.
Four kinds of degrees are provided to students of ACC: Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Theology (a five-year program). There are ten different subjects to choose from when pursuing a degree at ACC: biblical studies (including a bachelor of theology), business (an associate’s degree plus a bachelor in business administration), child and youth development, counseling and human services, education, English, history, the humanities (which can be studied alongside biblical studies), music and psychology. These subjects often contain many different specializations that can be selected, and there are also around twenty minors to choose from.
Atlanta Christian College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), a regional accreditation agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. SACS provides accreditation to institutions within an eleven-state area, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
