Bauder College

Bauder College is a privately-owned institution located in Atlanta, Georgia. It was originally founded in 1962 as a school for training students in the area of fashion merchandising, but has since expanded the scope of its curriculum. It has a student body of around 550, the majority of them African-American, and the student to faculty ratio is around 24:1.

Academic programs at Bauder College extend to the undergraduate level, providing both associate’s degrees and bachelor’s degrees in addition to a number of certifications. Associate’s degrees may be obtained in the following areas: medical assisting, business administration, criminal justice, fashion design, fashion merchandising, interior design and graphic design. Bachelor’s degrees are available to students of business administration (with concentrations in accounting, fashion merchandising and fashion product development) as well as criminal justice. Finally certificates are provided in three separate areas: medical assisting, computer networking and computer support.

Bauder College is accredited by the Commission on Colleges Southern Association of Colleges and Schools (SACS), a regional accreditation agency recognized by the United States Department of Education. SACS provides accreditation to institutions within an eleven-state area, including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Kentucky, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, and Virginia.
