Berry College

Focusing on personalized academic excellence, Berry College’s brand of education presents a learning world comprised of 26,000 acres that includes lots of green space, indoor and outdoor recreation and various buildings constituting the physical venues of academic activities. Its unusually beautiful environment and location next to Rome in Northwest, Georgia represents one of the largest campuses in the world encompassing fields, forests, lakes and mountains.

Berry College was established by Martha Berry in 1902 as a school for enterprising rural boys. The year 1909 saw the addition of a girls’ school. It eventually became one of the best examples of a successful educational experiment that combined academic study and student work while putting emphasis in interdominational Christian religion. It offers undergraduate and graduate programs leading to the degrees of Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Music, Bachelor of Science, Master of Business Administration, Master of Education and Education Specialist.

The student body consists of 1,686 undergraduate and 109 graduate students coming from Georgia, 40 other states and 20 foreign countries. Ninety-six percent of Berry’s ranked faculty hold a Ph.D. or the equivalent degree. Student to faculty ration is 11:1. Dual degree programs are offered through its Engineering Program with Georgia Institute of Technology and its Nursing Program with Emory University School of Nursing. Pre-Professional options include courses in Pre-Dentistry, Pre-Law, Pre-Medicine, Pre-Pharmacy and Pre-Veterinary Medicine.

Total tuition and fees is estimated at $ 23,360.00 while room and board rates range from $6,122.00 to $8,340.00. Graduate degree programs cost about $ 309.00 to $ 421.00 per semester hour.
