Brewton-Parker College
Brewton-Parker College is a four-year Christian college that has its main campus in Mount Vernon, Georgia. It has three other campuses in Liberty County, Newnan and Norman Park. The college’s curriculum is based on the liberal arts tradition and the Christian faith. It is accredited by the Commission on Colleges of the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award associate and baccalaureate degrees. It was founded in 1904 and is affiliated with the Baptist Church.
The academic programs of Brewton-Parker College are segregated into respective divisions including Business, Education, Arts and Letters, Math and Natural Sciences, Music, Religion and Philosophy as well as Social and Behavioral Sciences. These divisions are further divided into specific concentrations. The Bachelor of Business Administration for example, has four areas of concentration namely Management, Computer Information Systems, Accounting and General Business. The Bachelor of Science in Education is a four-year teacher certification program in the fields of elementary, secondary and middle grades education. Online programs such as the Certificate in Ministry Program can be completed entirely online towards B.A. in Christian Studies or Bachelor of Ministry Program. These are just some of the many educational options or tracks offered by Brewton-Parker College.
The Campus Ministries Department actively seeks to promote and provide an atmosphere that encourages spiritual formation and growth in the college campus. This is done in conjunction with the Baptist Collegiate Ministries. All off-site campus directors specifically those in charge of the three other campuses report to the Dean for External Programs of the main campus.
Full-time tuition per semester is about $ 6,720.00 with a cost per credit hour of $ 420.00. Room and board rate is approximately $ 2,800.00 per semester. Other fees may apply such as the technology fee, applied music and matriculation fee. A drop/add fee of $ 25.00 is charged when applicable.
