Idaho State University

Established as the Academy of Idaho in 1901, Idaho State University mainly focused on technological education during its early years. It became a four-year institution in 1947 and was renamed Idaho State College. It adapted its present name in 1963 when it became a full four-year public university. The State of Idaho operates the university campuses.

The main campus of Idaho State University is located in Pocatello while its three branch campuses are found in Idaho Falls, Meridian and Twin Falls.
