Benedictine University
Located in Lisle, Illinois, Benedictine University is a private Catholic University closely tied with the Benedictine order. It was established in 1887 with the name St. Procopius College, renamed Illinois Benedictine College in 1971, and finally acquired its present name in 1996. Benedictine University has been ranked as one of the top schools for Masters in the Midwestern United States, and is a top campus with the most number of international students. It is highly accessible through the interstate highway system, the Burlington Northern train and the O’Hare International Airport.
Benedictine University offers forty-four Undergraduate programs, thirteen Graduate Degree programs, two Doctoral Degree programs and various other programs such as the Adult Accelerated Undergraduate system and the International Program, under its five Academic Divisions: Business, Education and Health Services, Liberal Arts, Science, and Adult and Professional Services. The Adult Accelerated Undergraduate programs are offered on weekends and evenings providing flexibility for those that are focused on their career.
Benedictine University’s Masters and Doctoral programs are likewise offered on weekends, evenings, online (Business, Public Health and Education) and via a learning team.
Benedictine University also offers a First Responder program for fire and police professionals. Undergraduate courses under this program are tuition-free, while masters are at half–tuition.
Regular tuition fee is at $10,800 per semester for undergraduate students, along with room and board at $6,943. Graduate students pay $720 per semester hour, or $490 per quarter hour. Online students pay $475 per credit.
