Greenville College

Greenville College is a private, four-year Christian college located in Greenville, Illinois. Founded in 1892, it has an affiliation with the Free Methodist Church and as such seeks to develop the academic excellence of its students by providing them with Christ-centered education.

Academically, Greenville offers its students various courses under its traditional undergraduate program, its adult and professional studies, graduate studies and online program. The basic curriculum of the college is made up of a comprehensive liberal arts and sciences core where students are given broad training in the fine arts, humanities, religion, sciences, mathematics, and the social sciences. Upon completion of the core curriculum, students then choose their major subject from a wide variety of choices within the college’s distinguished schools: School of Arts and Sciences, School of Education, and School of Professional Studies.

For students who are too busy to attend the day classes but who nonetheless wish to complete their degree programs, the college has an adult and professional program plus an online education program that allows them to continue their studies via the Internet.

Cost of tuition at Greenville College for academic year 2009-2010 is US$27,012 and this includes tuition and fees, room and board, and student activity fee. For students who may find the cost of tuition too steep, the college extends financial assistance in the form of grants, loans, scholarships, and employment.

On-campus housing is available for students who may want to avail of it and live within the campus rather than go on a regular, tiring commute.
