Kendall College
Kendall College is a private, co-educational four-year college located in Chicago, Illinois. Founded in 1934 by two Methodist seminarians, the college was initially named Evanston Collegiate Institute and was renamed Kendall College after major supporter Curtis P. Kendall in 1950. In 2005, the college transferred from Evanston to its current location in Chicago.
Kendall College offers Bachelor of Arts degree programs in Business, Psychology, Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, Culinary Arts with Concentration in Nutrition, and Early Childhood Education in various specializations. A total of around 2,389 undergraduate students are enrolled at Kendall College. With a student to faculty ratio of 19 to 1, students are assured that their professors will be able to accord them the focused attention they expect in their studies.
For academic year 2009-2010, cost of tuition per quarter for fulltime students at Kendall College is US$4,200 for both Business and Psychology, US$6,225 for Hospitality Management, US$7,150 for Culinary Arts or US$16,800 for the total tuition price, US$200 per credit hour for Education (on ground) and US$200 for Education (online). For part-time students, cost of tuition charged per credit hour is US$350 for both Business and Psychology, US$595 for Hospitality Management, and US$700 for Culinary Arts.
Students who want to live on-campus have to enter into a contract with Kendall College for which housing charges will be applied per quarter at a cost of US$5,985 for one bedroom single occupancy; US$2,995 for one bedroom, double occupancy; or US$2,400 two bedroom, quad occupancy. Although housing rates are charged on a quarterly basis, the housing agreement is binding for one year.
