Lincoln Christian University

Lincoln Christian University is a four-year, coeducational and residential Bible college affiliated with the Independent Christian Churches/Churches of Christ and located in Lincoln, Illinois. Founded in 1944, the school’s initial mission was to provide training for preachers and other church leaders and prepare them for new roles of leadership in the various churches in Illinois. Today, the university’s offer has expanded tremendously to include various programs in a wide range of subjects from business to worship. These programs lead to degrees in Associate of Arts, Bachelor of Arts, various master’s degrees including a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry.

Today, Lincoln’s annual enrollment has increased to an average of 1,000 students guided in their quest for higher education by dedicated teachers whose main focus is to attend to the educational needs of their students. The student to faculty ratio is 14 to 1 insuring the focused attention students expect from their teachers.

Cost of attendance at Lincoln Christian University for academic year 2009-2010 is US$18,813 for fulltime undergraduate students broken down into full-year tuition of US$13,020 and room and board of US$5,783. For part-time students, tuition cost per credit hour is US$434. For adult and graduate studies, cost per credit hour is US$495 and for seminary students, US$479. Financial aid is extended in the form of loans, grants and scholarships to help students pay for their cost of attendance.

On campus housing is available for over 600 single students in addition to 56 apartment-type dwellings for married students. Expected campus upgrades include a remodeled seminary building.
