Bethel College is an evangelical Christian college affiliated with the Missionary Church located at 1001 Bethel Circle, Mishawaka, Indiana. Its location has the advantage of an urban community setting that has rich educational and cultural resources. Its participation in the sharing of such resources with other colleges and universities further enhances the educational opportunities available to its students.
Degrees offered include master’s, baccalaureate and associate programs. Bethel has five undergraduate schools consisting of the Schools of Business and Social Sciences, Education, Arts and Sciences, Religion and Philosophy, and Nursing. The areas of study comprise a very long list from Accounting to Youth Ministry and Adolescent Studies. Pre-professional programs in Art Therapy, Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Physical Therapy, Seminary and Veterinary Medicine help prepare students for professional careers. Graduate programs assist students in discerning their next vocational step. Adult studies offer innovative
accelerated programs at reduced tuition rates in convenient schedules.
The annual cost of a Bethel education is approximately $ 27,568.00 inclusive of tuition, room and board. Full-time enrollment is equivalent to 12 credit hours per semester. Tuition cost for graduate studies and non-traditional programs differ from that of traditional ones.
Bethel College opened in 1947 but traces its roots way back in 1893 when the founder of the Mennonite Brethren in Christ (MBC), Daniel Brenneman called for the establishment of a training institute. The MBC eventually became the United Missionary Church at about the same time that the college was established. From the original 94 students, total present enrollment is more than 2,000 including those enrolled in the two emerging extension centers of Bethel- the Elkhart Campus and the Nursing Program in Grace College.
