Earlham College
Earlham College is a four-year, coeducational institution of higher learning founded in 1847 by the Religious Society of Friends or the Quakers. It is located at 801 National Road West in Richmond, Indiana. This independent residential college makes use of a teacher learning process that seeks to awaken the teacher within in every student as a way to facilitate life-long learning.
Comprised of the college itself and the Earlham School of Religion, Earlham College offers the Bachelor of Arts degree, the various disciplinary and interdisciplinary fields of which are organized in four academic divisions. This would include the Divisions of Fine Arts, Humanities, Natural Science and Social Sciences. Also offered are the degrees in Master of Arts in Teaching and Master of Education. The Earlham School of Religion on the other hand, offers the Master of Arts Degree in Religion and the Master of Ministry Degree. The off-campus programs of Earlham College, both domestic and international, provide significant enhancement to its basic curriculum including the popular summer grant programs.

Earlham College occupies a 200-acre campus, the focal point of which is a tree-shaded green called the Heart. It serves as the venue of student gatherings for the purpose of study, recreation and observances. Student learning is assessed in three ways: through outcomes within majors, through outcomes regarding general education and through the college’s total education program.
