Hanover College
Hanover College is the oldest private college in Indiana. Established in 1827 by Rev. John Finley Crowe, the private liberal arts college located in Hanover, Indiana is Christian and enjoys strong affiliation with the Presbyterian Church.
As an institution of higher education, Hanover College offers students a Bachelor of Arts degree in more than 30 areas of study, the most popular of which include Bachelor of Arts in Business, Education, Exercise Science, Biology, Chemistry, Art, Psychology, English and Communication.
Being a liberal arts college, Hanover requires a basic curriculum of intensive liberal arts subjects that students need to complete prior to selecting a major for their degree programs. Aside from a Bachelor’s degree, the college also offers pre-professional programs in Dentistry, Law, Medicine, Pharmacy, Physical Therapy and Veterinary Sciences.
For academic year 2009-2010, cost of attendance at Hanover College is a total of US$34,250 broken down into tuition of US$25,800, total fees of US$550, room at US$3,850 and board or meals at US$4,050. Apart from these direct costs, there are also other costs to be incurred like the cost of books, transportation and personal expenses.
To help students who may find the cost of attendance too steep, the college extends financial aid in the form of loans, grants, scholarships and campus employment.
On-campus housing is available at Hanover College in line with its belief that learning does not stop after classroom classes have ended. Students who live in community with one another learn from each other and learn how to deal with the outside world.
