Holy Cross College

Holy Cross College is a private, co-educational Catholic institution of higher education located in Notre Dame, Indiana. Founded in 1966, it is administered by the Congregation of the Holy Cross and offers a comprehensive liberal arts and science core curriculum that requires students to take up general knowledge subjects that prepare them for the challenges and give them a greater appreciation of their field of specialization.

Holy Cross College grants Bachelor of Arts degrees with majors in Business, Communications, Elementary Education, English, History, Liberal Studies, Psychology, Theology, Visual Arts, and Gerontology. The college’s degree program has four components: a service learning project, a professional internship, an international experience and a senior capstone presentation. These components insure that students are able to combine real-life experiences with classroom learning. Every student must complete these requirements in order to successfully earn his or her Bachelor of Arts degree.

For academic year 2009-2010, the cost of tuition for fulltime students enrolled in 12 to 19 semester hours is US$8,850 per semester or US$17,700 per year. Part-time students as well as those taking up semester hours in excess of 19 pay US$590 per semester hour.

Students who want to live on campus pay an additional fee of US$4,000 and above for room and board. The college extends on-campus housing facilities to students with separate residential halls for girls and a different one for boys.

To help students in paying for their cost of attendance at the college, Holy Cross extends financial aid in the form of loans, grants and scholarships to qualified students.
