Kansas State University–Salina is the branch campus of Kansas State University which houses the College of Technology & Aviation. Founded in 1991, the university branch campus is located in Salina, Kansas and was born as a result of a merger between Kansas Technical Institute and Kansas State University.

The university offers two-year and four-year courses in Engineering Technology and Aviation leading primarily to associates and bachelors degrees in mechanical and construction engineering technology, electronic engineering technology, computer systems and web development technology, and airway science in the form of professional pilot and aviation maintenance degrees. Courses are mostly made up of a combination of theory and application thereby providing students with hands-on training that prepares them for real-world situations.

Cost of tuition and fees for academic year 2009-2010 varies depending on the number of credit hours a student enrolls in. Those who enroll in 18 credit hours are charged US$3,805.56 if they are residents of Kansas or US$9,875 if they are non-residents. Apart from tuition and fees, students may also be charged for housing and food if they choose to live on-campus in any of the residential halls. Rates for housing and food depend on the choice of room. Students who choose to stay in a double occupancy room with 19 meals per week pay US$5,958 while those in a double occupancy room with 14 meals per week pay US$5,570. There are also single occupancy rooms. With 19 meals per week, these rooms cost US$9,310 or US$8,922 for 14 meals per week.

To help ease the burden of tuition costs, the university extends financial aid in the form of loans, grants, scholarships and campus employment for qualified students.
