Georgetown College

Georgetown College is a private, liberal arts, Christian institution located in suburban Georgetown, Kentucky. Established in 1829 by the Kentucky Baptist Education Society, the school stands committed to its mission to provide quality academic programs in a Christian environment and to produce graduates that will be equipped to deal with the challenges of 21st century society as global citizens and leaders committed to uphold their Christian roots.

The college offers Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Music, and Bachelor of Music Education in a wide range of major fields of study to its undergraduate students and a Master of Arts in Education degree to students enrolled in its graduate programs. There are currently 1,400 undergraduate students and 540 graduate students enrolled at Georgetown College. These students are guided in their quest for higher education by 130 faculty members, 90% of whom hold a Doctorate degree in their chosen field. With the student to faculty ratio at 13 to 1, students enjoy the familiar relationship between teacher and student offered by a small college while benefiting from education of equal quality to that provided by a large university.

Cost of tuition for academic year 2009-2010 is US$26,080 for fulltime undergraduate students. This does not include room and board which is an additional US$7,030. Estimated annual cost for books is at US$800. To help students who may find the cost of tuition too steep, financial aid is extended in the form of loans, grants, and scholarships.
