Northern Kentucky University

Located near Cincinnati, Northern Kentucky University is located in Highland Heights, Kentucky, just miles from the Ohio border.

As a liberal arts focused school, there are over 10,000 active students concentrated in undergraduate studies. Founded in 1968 as a public liberal arts college, NKU is the newest addition to Kentucky’s state educational foundation.

Located on a suburban, 400 acre campus, NKU competes in NCAA athletics through the Great Lakes Valley Conference. Formed through the merger of several small colleges, the school developed fully in 1973 with the addition of the Salmon Chase Law School to the NK State College.

The University has evolved over the years, expanding its facilities and degree programs to six dedicated colleges: the Chase College of Law, the School of Health Professions, the College of Informatics, the College of Education, as well as a College of Arts and Sciences and a Business School. With an active Honors Program, as well as a well regarded Steely Research Library, NKU has developed an impressive, fully accredited academic tradition in recent years.
