Anna Maria College

Anna Maria College (AMC) is a private, coed, liberal arts college affiliated with the Roman Catholic Church. Located in Paxton, Massachussetts, and just a few minutes from Worcester, it is a member of the Worcester Consortium that allows students from member colleges to cross register at no additional cost.

Anna Maria College is a small college with less than 800 undergraduate students. Classes are kept small ranging from 15 to 20 students per class. The student to faculty ratio is good and the percentage of full-time faculty on tenure track is among the top in the United States.

AMC has over 35 undergraduate degree programs and more than 22 undergraduate and continuing education programs. The most popular majors in AMC are those under the security and law enforcement degree programs such as criminal justice and fire science. A good number of students are also business, education, social work, and psychology as their major. AMC has a 5th year option that allows students to complete their graduate degrees within one year of getting their undergraduate degree. There are currently no online programs at AMC.

Admissions in AMC is selective with an acceptance rate of 90%. Admission requirements include the applicant’s high school transcript, test scores in either SAT I or ACT (AMC CEEB code is 3005), a completed application form, and an application fee of $40. Music and Art students need to submit special requirements.

Tuition for Music students is $27,588 per year. Non-music majors who wish to take private music lessons can do so for $1,000.
