Becker College
Becker College is a distinct New England college comprised of two separate campuses that are located six miles apart and having their own facilities while operating as one educational institution. The merger of two schools of quality education namely the Leicester and the Worcester, resulted to the formal consolidation of the Worcester Campus and Leicester Campus under the name of Becker College in 1977. Becker College believes that the primary reason for its existence is the students who it seeks to encourage and develop towards careers and interests of their choice.
Four and two-year degree programs are offered by this co-educational college. At present, it offers 22 bachelor-degree level major fields of study and 19 associate degree programs. Accelerated Degree Programs for adult students are also offered which requires one evening per week meeting for five to seven weeks. Online learning is provided for students wanting to earn college credits while at home, work or travel. Non-credit online courses, on the other hand, allow the enrichment of skills without the need to be physically present on campus.
Educational costs for fulltime students are $ 24,780.00 annually. Room and board is about $ 10,000.00, also for a year. Part-time students or those enrolled in less than twelve credits need to pay tuition of $ 1,040.00 per credit. Overload credits are also charged the same rate.
Over 1,000 full-time students are presently enrolled in Becker College. Students have come from 18 states and 12 countries, since 1985. Becker’s two campuses can be found at the heart of Massachusetts in Worcester. The college takes pride in its personalized education that puts emphasis on an individual’s potential for achieving goals both in and out of the classroom.
