Emerson College

With a focus on written and visual communications, Emerson was founded in Boston, Massachusetts in 1880. A private college, Emerson College originally began with a focus on rhetoric and has expanded today to offer over 35 degrees, with accreditation by the New England Association of Colleges.

Over 4,000 students are enrolled at its urban campus which is located in the south east Boston theater district where it operates the Cutler Majestic Theater. Students in fields as diverse as graphic design to art history and communications can find well regarded programs at the college, which focuses on a broad liberal arts curriculum.
