Gordon College
Gordon College is a private liberal arts Christian college located in Massachusetts. Founded in 1889 by Baptist Minister A.J. Gordon, the college is mostly an undergraduate college with an evangelical mission. It provides an atmosphere conducive to learning that allows both the body and mind of its students to soar and reach greater heights. True to its roots, Gordon College integrates Christian teachings and thoughts to its classroom study.
Gordon College offers its students Bachelor of Arts, Bachelor of Science, Bachelor of Music, Master of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, Master of Arts in Teaching, and Master of Education degrees in a wide range of majors.
There are currently 1,600 undergraduate students enrolled at Gordon College mentored by 104 full-time and 90 part-time faculty members. Around 89% of faculty members hold the highest degree in their chosen field of study. With a student to faculty ratio of 14 to 1, students are assured of individualized instruction and ready access to their teachers for questions regarding their degree programs.
Total cost of attendance for academic year 2009-2010 is US$36,072 which includes tuition, room and board and the required health center fee.
To help its students reach their academic goals without worrying about the cost of tuition, the college extends financial aid in the form of grants, loans and scholarships to those who qualify.
Gordon College requires all its full-time students to live on campus and choose from among four types of residence halls. Only those who are 23 years old and older, married or living with parents can be exempted and allowed to live off campus.
