Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary
Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary is a private, four-year non-profit theological seminary established in 1969 with the union of two institutions – the Gordon Divinity School and the Conwell School of Theology – both well-known for their outstanding work in providing evangelical leadership for the Christian church in various areas.
With a mission to prepare, in partnership with the Church, young men and women for Christian ministries at home and abroad, the seminary pursues its mission through an educational curriculum that is both traditional and yet cutting edge in terms of learning technologies used. It offers multiple sites and delivery systems which includes traditional day classroom instructions at the main campus in South Hamilton, Massachusetts; urban context classes in five languages in downtown Boston, Massachusetts; adult education type of classes at Charlotte, North Carolina and Jacksonville, Florida; as well as online degree programs for students who are not able to attend classroom type of classes. In addition, the seminary offers Doctor of Ministry programs at various locations as a means to renew and strengthen the ministries of those already in the profession.
Cost of attendance at the main campus at South Hamilton for academic year 2009-2010 is US$504 per credit hour or US$1,512 per course. For special scholarship students, the cost of attendance is US$15,120 per year. These costs are only for tuition. They do not include other fees normally charged per academic year. Additional fees are also charged for on-campus room and board.
To assist students in the payment of their attendance costs, the seminary extends financial aid in the form of loans, grants, scholarships and work study programs to students who qualify.
