Hebrew College
Hebrew College is an accredited college of Jewish studies located in Newton Center, Massachusetts. Established in 1921, Hebrew College is committed to the belief that an intense and thorough knowledge of Jewish principles that results from rigorous Jewish education is vital to sustaining an active and vibrant Jewish community.
Committed to its mission to make the academic study of Judaism relevant to the realities and academic challenges of the community it lives and works in, the college remains open to anyone who wants to enroll in the college regardless of denomination. The college offers Bachelor’s, Master’s and Certificate programs to students.
Cost of tuition and attendance at the Hebrew College varies according to the program. For the Cantor Educator Program and the Rabbinic School Program, the cost of tuition is US$$21,850. For those taking up Master of Jewish Studies, Bachelor of Jewish Studies, non-degree, non-matriculated programs and the School of Jewish Music Certificate Program, the cost of tuition per credit cost is US$935 and US$460 for non-credit cost. Those enrolled in Master of Jewish Education, Bachelor of Jewish Education, and Certificate in Education pay a tuition cost of US$667 per credit and US$460 for non-credit. For students taking up Master of Jewish Education – Early Childhood, Master of Jewish Liberal Studies and Certificate in Early Childhood, the tuition cost is US$500 per credit and US$460 for non-credit. Students who may find the cost of tuition too steep may apply for financial aid.
On campus housing facilities and residential halls are not available in the Hebrew College.
